Tension Cure - Is There Any?
29th January 2012 by Depressed No CommentsAnxiety sufferers are fast to ask, is there an anxiety cure that may make me stop having anxiety attacks?
The thing is, would you want to be cured fully?
It’s easily disregarded when anxiety attacks become such an issue, but anxiety is there for a reason. It makes us alert when we spot danger. It causes our bodies to prepare themselves for any action that could be required to ensure our safety.
Imagine finding the anxiety cure that removes all uneasiness from your body. Imagine being perfectly calm under all circumstances. Nothing stirs you. Regardless of what comes along, you do not react. Your heart does not speed up. Your consciousness doesn't race. Your muscles don’t tense.
You simply sit there. Unmoved.
Now imagine that the “something” coming your way is a big grizzly bear. You are so chilled you actually don’t much care that it’s a challenge to your well being. What do you imagine the result will be?
Yes, the bear might walk right on by and ignore you. It may, but you cannot be sure. It likely will need to sniff you and if it smells something fascinating, it just might attack you.
You see, a no holds barred anxiety cure would be a bad thing, although you could think it'd be an incredible benefit to your daily life.
What you're actually hunting for is an anxiety cure that may teach you the way to not get anxious when there’s really zilch to be concerned about. Those are the occasions when whatever you are dreading is what you “perceive” is dangerous when in fact it is not.
Needless anxiety is a reaction that you learned during some experience that directly caused your anxiety switch to get stuck in the “on” position. In other words, you attached hysteria to that initial experience, and it stuck. Afterward, you usually get concerned when you revisit that experience, although the initial danger is long gone.
Accept it or not, nervousness is a good thing, otherwise you’d die. Of course, way too much of it can create havoc in your life.
So what kind of an anxiousness cure would you be trying to find?
It would teach you how you should not become concerned all of the time. It might teach you the correct way to reply only to real risks as you probably did early in your life; before something caused such a panic that your nervousness button went awry.
The trick, though, is learning to cure anxiety, although it travels at the rate of thought. You probably do not even recognize what triggers the anxiety because it occurs so fast.
Now, you do not need to slow down your uneasiness replies because that will be as disastrous as not having any anxiousness at all. In an emergency, the body requires time in which to prepare and to do so; your brain has worked out the time commitment needed. It knows how long that it requires for your heart to pump more blood to your muscles, and for the muscles to respond.
Though this process of preparation only takes a case of split seconds, it’s coordinated with absolute precision. You do not want to play with that!
Instead , you need an anxiety cure that may help you change which things you make a response to and when. Remember, at some particular point you attached panic or anxiety to a particular situation or event, and now, you mostly reply that way to that event.
Your dream anxiety cure will help you take away the panic and foreboding from that situation.
A technique to do that is thru numbing, that means revisiting that situation regularly till you become desensitized to it and no longer attach stress to it.
You may use visualization. This involves visualizing the “threatening” situation and sees you going thru the motions without anxiety. Visualize yourself climbing those open ladders, taking that flight, making that speech with full confidence.
Another step to your anxiety cure is to deal with stress, because quite often, insistent stress sets the foreboding stream in motion. Take away the stress and the anxiety will disappear.
There are programs available to help you. You can contact your GP for a referral to a consultant, you can visit your local psychological well-being clinic, or you can seek an advisor.
You can also use some of the fantastic products that are accessible that may teach the anxiety cure techniques that have worked for others.
Yes there is a nervousness cure, but you can’t stop anxiety utterly. The right anxiety cure will allow you to live a normal life again, when you respond with anxiousness only to events that actually need it.
